THE CELTIC COMPANY
The Atlanta, Georgia based Celtic Company, under the direction of founder/performer John Maschinot, has been providing a variety of entertaining and educational programs focusing on traditional music and dance for events and schools since 1990.
We perform traditional music & dance because it’s a fun, exciting way to emotionally engage audiences of all ages.
We treasure its link to a rich historical, cultural and musical past, while revealing its relevance to today’s audience.
Our goal is to marry entertainment and educational elements to create dynamic performances with vibrancy and depth.
Click on any of the links below and you'll find that our ensembles and programs offer a variety of Irish and traditional American music and dance, featuring authentic instruments: uilleann pipes (the soft-spoken Irish bagpipes), fiddle, Celtic harp, banjo, guitar, Irish wooden flute, penny whistle, bodhran (Irish drum), vocals and more! And we offer a small ensemble version of our hugely popular Celtic Christmas concert, this year celebrating its sixth season at Atlanta's Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University.
